I am the creator of Writing Circles for Healing, a writing support group to heal grief and life-altering experiences.

In 2003, my women’s writing group Word Dancers published an anthology Dancing Between Worlds and created theatrical presentations of poetry in Santa Fe and Albuquerque.

In 2004, I released a poetry CD Longing for Home and since then, have performed poetry nationally and in Mexico, in unique venues such as cafes, galleries, schools, cultural centers, writers groups, and private homes, solo and in collaborations with local poets.
I have published poetry and creative non-fiction in dozens of literary journals.

Work Experience:
After living communally and managing shelters for the homeless, I was a nanny for a private family in Israel, and from 1988 until 2006, worked with children as a nanny or pre-school teacher.

I have lived in Mexico, Belize, Spain, and Israel. I consider my home to be in Minneapolis, Santa Fe, and Puerto Vallarta with family and friends.

I have facilitated writing groups since 1994, have published poetry and creative non-fiction, and have a poetry collection forthcoming.
Education:
On the wing, while hitch-hiking, while
devouring books and experiences, extended university courses, Spanish class at El Insituto Cultural in Oaxaca, facilitator training with Life Monologue Stories, volunteering for hospice, retreats in the desert, surviving trauma, mentoring young people, living with a bi-polar partner, leading memorials for my partner and my son after their deaths, participating in ceremonies led by indigenous peoples, studying alternative health with Earthwalks for Health

Description

Relevant Education / Credentials
I have facilitated writing groups since 1994, including support groups for victims of domestic violence. For ten years I managed shelters for the homeless and visited adult and adolescent inmates. I am trained as a Hospice volunteer and as a facilitator in Monologue Life Stories. I studied alternative healing and ceremony in Santa Fe with EarthWalks for Health. I am a member of a woman’s Moon Lodge. I have published poetry and creative non-fiction in prestigious literary journals, such as The Litchfield Review, The Chrysalis Reader, Wising Up Press and Minnetonka Review.
