My Skills

tutor of Physics, Chemistry, or Biology

Category: Education
Description
As a former mechanical engineer and biomedical researcher, my knowledge of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology is firm. I’ve also earned a Master’s Degree in Adolescent Education, thereby enhancing my ability to teach this Science knowledge. (I’ve found the most effective teaching method – and efficient use of tutoring session time – to be helping students over conceptual hurdles that tripped them up when they recently attempted to solve assigned problems. Problem-solving is thus the core of my tutoring.)

Subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Biology (level = H.S. / A.P. / or SATII)

Course information:
• curriculum can be tailored to your course
(e.g., use your course’s text)
• location = public space to be determined mutually
(home tutoring available after 1st session)
• rate for introductory session = $15/hr
• rate for sessions thereafter = $60/hr
• service area = central NJ
Tutor qualifications:
• professionally tutor both
at a private learning center (SATII Chem, SAT Math/Verbal)
and for an online tutoring service (Physics)
• Master’s Degrees in both Adolescent Education and Public Health
• former NYC public H.S. Biology teacher, biomedical researcher,
and mechanical engineer
(currently a caregiver due to a family health crisis)
