Work Experience:
I have four grown children and I was a single mom for many years. They are all wonderful and full of life.
I have done many kinds of jobs, and dabbled with many mediums and art forms. Growing up in New Orleans, I was exposed to a rich and colorful culture. My first love with arts and crafts began with catching glass beads from the floats at Mardi Gras. I would restring them into my own creations.
I worked for Courtney Miller Peterson, of "Courtney Designs" for several years when she was located in Mandeville, LA and have continued to do piece work for her to this day.
I had the opportunity to work with ceramics in the mid 90's and worked 2 years for "Hasslock Designs" in Covington, LA. Later, I had a "paint it yourself" ceramic shop and eventually moved my studio into my home.
In 2001, I had the great pleasure of working with and collaborating with "Ashome", Wayne Morgan of Folsom. LA. He is a metal sculptor and has made brass and copper fountains in the South East Region for the past 35 years. Together, we created many works, mixing mosaic and painted tile murals with his metal alchemy. I have sold my art in and around the greater New Orleans area and continue to do custom orders and projects in the region.
In 2001, I was introduced to "Nonviolent Communication" and Marshall Rosenberg. As I learned and incorporated it into my life, many new avenues have opened up for me. I have attended several workshops, in California and Georgia. I have taught classes and facilitated practice groups in New Orleans and Baton Rouge, LA.
Feel free to communicate with me. It's what I love!
