I have been involved in bluegrass music throughout my whole life. My first glimpse of bluegrass was the night that I was brought home from the hospital after birth. (band practice was at home that night)I was 8 years old when my dad tried to teach me to play the banjo. My interest was, at that time, the guitar. At the age of 11, I began to draw a big interest to the mandolin which is now my main focus. My high school years were spent in marching/concert band playing the trombone and various instruments.I also spent my senior year as the Drum Major. My vocal career started with my high school's Honors Chamber Ensemble. My awards varied from Marine Band Recipient to many Superior ratings in solo performances. Also my first stage appearance began with the Jones Brothers and Log Cabin Boys. I was later asked to play guitar for "All Star" teenage bluegrass band, Remmington Ride. I then played mandolin with No Other Name (a contemporary folk gospel group), Bluegrass 76, and is now able to play with my dad in A Deeper Shade of Blue.
I am also employeed at Guitar Center.
