Growing up with a very creative Mom and sister, I simply refused to be crafty and would run the other way. Many years ago, while visiting my family I sat with my Mom who was stamping on our deck outside. I picked up a stamp, inked it in black and began coloring with markers. I loved it. It was so relaxing to me. At the time I was in a very stressful job working 12-14 hour days and coming home to stamp & color released all of my stress. That is when I fell in love with stamping.

I became my sister’s biggest Stampin’ Up! customer after that day with my Mom. I couldn’t get enough stamping. Of course my skills grew from simply coloring to embossing, chalking, water coloring and so many other things too. I loved it all.

After a few years of ordering from my sister and with encouragement from Bradley, I decided to join Stampin’ Up! This was the best decision I have ever made. I never knew my life would change as much as it has. When I signed up to be a demonstrator, I planned only to support my hobby and of course get an awesome discount. I started slow and dedicated myself to learning about the company and planned for one day showing this great new business adventure to other people.

Through word of mouth and great friends, my business began to pick up in 2005. I actually had customers and I loved it! I had found my niche’ in life and it was awesome. I loved the joy of showing off new techniques to customers, I loved when I showed the possibilities of a new stamp set and everyone just couldn’t wait to have it for themselves and I felt even more honored when one of my customers came back with a friend to share the fun and excitement.

I had the wonderful opportunity in 2005 to attend a Stampin’ Up! Regional conference in Charleston, SC. I thought it was so close that it would be silly not to attend and see what this is all about. Besides, Bradley came with me and who wouldn’t love a weekend at the beach? From the moment I got there, I was grinning from ear
