Work Experience:
I have been a model and dancer in my youth. Have raised my child alone so I have worked at a variety of jobs from supervisor in internal sales in a computer company to server in 5 star restaurants. Primarily I have worked as a Social Worker for the County of Santa Clara and for Non Profits in Santa Cruz which included Transportation Coordinator at the Red Cross in Santa Cruz, Community Worker at California Rural Legal, Inc. and Community Action Board of Santa Cruz County. I have also been a Notary Public and a Summon Server. I am sure I left some out. Fifty seven years of working since 14 is a loooooong time.
Education:
I married young and did not formaly finish my education although I have a B.S. in Life.
Organizations / Affilations:
Cuban Study Group in Santa Cruz, California and Pastors for Peace, with whom I just returned from a peaceful protest to Cuba to overturn the inhumane Embargo against the country.
I was also part of a Sister City agreement between Santa Cruz, CA. and
Guamma, Santiago de Cuba in 2005. I was part 31 delegates who travel to the southeastern part of the island. California Congressman from Monterey County, Sam Farr was also one of the delegates. I participated in 2001 with Santa Cruz Bible Church as a medical translator in El Salvador, where we went to check 50 houses we had built after the earthquake.
