I actually got my sewing skills from Home Economics Class over 25 years ago and decided that this is something that I enjoy doing, so why not start an alterations business. I have been doing bridal, formal, casual clothing alterations as well as sewing new items, like the one above, for 2 years and I love what I do! I especially love doing work with bridal wear! Just seeing the excitement on the bride to be's face when she tries on the finished dress, gives me joy to know that I had a part in making her wedding day special. My prices are very reasonable compared to bridal shops and other alteration shops. I will be opening up a shop here in Austin, TX very soon, so be looking for it!!
