Within a few months of moving to San Diego in 1998, several natives commented that ironically, I knew more about San Diego than they did. I've always taken this knowledge for granted despite being teased by friends as Ask Jeeves, the best tour guide in San Diego, San Diego's Ambassador, and so forth. I finally decided to start sharing my knowledge through my blog at

On a second note about myself, I spent the past few years dealing with heart failure and surgery. The experience of being stuck at home for extended periods combined with my experience of recently helping my dad to finally learn how to surf the internet, inspired me to create a web site called This web site provides basic lessons for people like my dad on how to navigate the internet, how to stay safe online, how to shop online, and why organizations such as the Better Business Bureau say it is safer to manage credit cards online that it is the standard way with physical hard copies. I then provide them in one location links to all of their favorite retailers they have come to trust over the years at their local mall. I figure there are still a lot of parents and grandparents who have not ventured much online. As they get older, their health may restrict them to their homes. I want to teach them that the online world is not as scary as they think it is and by going online they can continue shopping at their favorite stores and avoid the challenges of driving to and walking around a shopping center.
