Colleagues have stated that I have excelled at establishing rapport within very difficult client populations showing great skills in tempering assertiveness with sensitivity.
By hard work and learned experience I have honed my skills as a clinician, working with the dual diagnosed chronically mentally ill, drug/alcohol, clients in a community mental health setting, working with adults, adolescents, families, couples, and children in individual counseling and crisis counseling sessions. Facilitated substance abuse groups, domestic violence groups, women support groups, dual diagnosed, youth and family groups. In addition, our teams have worked with male juveniles sexual offenders with severe behavioral problems in residential treatment facilities.
Theories and models of interventions we have used come from a strengths based perspective of Social Work. Working with many different types of client populations, the interventions I
use is non-aversive methods; strength based. Developed and directed to meet the needs of the individual needs of the individual, adult child, adolescent, and family: multi-systemic, SCHOH services. The therapies designed are Behavioral, CBT, Motivational Interviewing, psycho dynamic, narrative, play therapy, music therapy, art therapy, drama therapy, social stories, role-play, animal therapy, multi systematic therapy, multi-cultural generational therapy solution focused, Hazelden’s Brief Individual/Group Substance Abuse Counseling, family based, and the supportive therapies. Behavioral Specialist/Mobile Therapist working with treatment plans using DAP notes while supervising support staff. I am open to all open new theories, ideas and trainings to increase our knowledge base. Supervision is an important part of the team effort.
