Bio
A 1984 graduate of the University of Illinois, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics, and a former Illinois State Scholar, I have a lengthy history of purchasing, negotiation, and sales service experience. I know that in real estate, as in all of life, details make the difference. It is the tending to the myriad details, anticipating situations, and providing superior levels of service that separates me from the competition.

I specialize in the pre-foreclosure and foreclosure markets. This entails working closely with homeowners facing foreclosure, and assisting them as a Home Retention Consultant, or as a Short Sale Specialist. With the detailed database of pre-foreclosure homes that I maintain on a daily basis, I also assist buyers and investors in their search for a new home.

I have earned the designation SRES (Seniors Real Estate Specialist), which has given me the education and experience to offer consultation to our aging population. I help seniors make the choices that enable them to live life on THEIR terms. Less than 1% of all Realtors have earned that designation here in northern Michigan. I have also earned the designation “E-Marketing Pro,” which means that I am a specialist in utilizing the Internet to market homes and properties for sale.

Formerly of suburban Chicago, I now reside in Lake Ann, a beautiful small town about 15 miles southwest of Traverse City. In my free time I enjoy the company of my beautiful wife, our two dogs, and four cats. I am an avid photographer, and find this area rich in photo opportunities. It is my dream to combine my two passions, photography and writing, to create a photographic journal of northern Michigan. I appreciate the quiet, rustic beauty of the land, respect and admire the wildlife that inhabits the land, and have found the serenity and happiness that eluded me in the big city.

Description
Have you ever hungered for something more? Have you ever yearned for rolling hills, gentle streams, and thick forests of old growth trees?

Do you ever dream of seeing white-tailed deer frolic in their natural setting, or of majestic hawks and eagles soaring in a crystal blue sky? Can you imagine peaceful country driving, where the roads know no traffic? Can you visualize a night-time sky so bright and thick with stars that it boggles the mind?

If it sounds too good to be true, think again. This time, think “Up North”; think Northern Michigan. Traverse City and Northern Michigan offers you the tranquility and peace of mind that you just can’t find anywhere else. It’s a life lived at a little slower pace, where folks stop to wave and say hello, even to strangers. The colors are so vibrant here: the greens are greener, the skies are bluer, and in autumn, the fall colors are more spectacular.

Northern Michigan is more than deer trails and dirt roads. Northern Michigan is rich in cultural and leisure opportunities. Traverse City itself boasts a beautiful new airport, a vibrant and bustling downtown, Northwestern Michigan College, the Cherry Festival, the Traverse City Film Festival, scenic recreational trails, downhill skiing, Traverse City Yacht Club, and countless outstanding restaurants. We even have a professional baseball team, the Traverse City Beach Bums.

The greater Traverse area also features: the Sleeping Bear National Dunes;15 excellent wineries; three breweries; ski resorts; snowmobiling trails; hunting; fishing on literally thousands of lakes, big and small; opulent vacation resorts; more than 40 golf courses; and water parks.
