I'm a jazz and classically trained pianist working and living in Brooklyn, NY. I'm spending my days reading, writing, practicing music, and composing pieces while learning the music engineering software that will allow me to publicly distribute the pieces over the internet. I've been playing for 8-9 years and would very much like to expand my teaching abilities.

More About Me
Learning ProTools
learning how to operate in a cutting-edge music marketing environment
learning how to develop and produce my own music without too much outside assistance
and learning more about bartending so I can make more money and work at cooler places. I can't think of a job other than bartending that pays you to socialize and make a few drinks
Work Experience:
I've worked at a clothing store for a year, which was great. Lots of discounts and a confidence builder.

I've also worked on and off as a bartender in Manhattan and Brooklyn, at night clubs and restaurants. Pretty interesting times there. I've met some great people through working, I think more so than through school.
I did two years at the New School, double majoring in jazz piano and psychology. School is meh, so I left. Since then I've learned more about myself and life through reading and working int he world.

My Skills

Professional Pianist

Category: Music
I've done technically way more jazz work in New Hampshire, where I grew up, than in the city, but since my long term personal aspirations don't really involve jazz to a high degree, I'm okay with this. I've done several sessions and gigs as a pianist and producer for pop singers. I'm currently working heavily on developing a classical repertoire, while also working on my own projects.
Relevant Education / Credentials
Years gigging and the New School Jazz Program.

Piano Teacher

Category: Education
I've taught several lessons to a few students and have gotten decent feedback. I would love to get more into teaching, regardless of the skill level of my students. I typically charge $30 per hour, and I can travel depending on where you live.
