Barry Bennedetta

An award-winning, multi-platinum guitarist hailing from the Philadelphia area, Barry began playing the guitar at the age of nine. His main influences are Jimi Hendrix, Ritchie Blackmore, Michael Schenker, Edward Van Halen, and Yngwie Malmsteen . Barry studied with fourteen different teachers over the years. In High School, he studied music theory for two years. He began playing in local clubs at age eighteen.

Barry played in the South Jersey Club Circuit in the following bands:
Diamonds with Cinderella's Tom Keifer
Fragile with John Corabi of Motley Crue & Waysted's Ron E. Kayfield
Precious Metal with TNT's Tony Harnell
Blind Driver with Billy Childs and Johnny Dee of Britny Fox

In 1984, at the age of 24, Barry got his big break when he joined Waysted, which was the opening act for Ozzy Osbourne and Motley Crue during their infamous "Bark at the Moon" / "Shout at the Devil" world tour. This tour is currently ranked at #4 on VH-1's "Rock's Greatest Moments of All Times."

In 1986 Barry was asked to join Cinderella, but turned the offer down. He did, however, showcase his talent on three tracks of their album Night Songs, along with Jon Bon Jovi. The album went on to sell 3.5 million copies worldwide. As a result, Barry received the honors of Gold and Multi-Platinum awards.

Barry soon decided it was time for him to settle down and start a family. He also began his own successful business, The Bennedetta Guitar School in Morrisville, Pennsylvania. The Bennedetta Guitar School offers private guitar lessons from an award winning, multi-platinum guitarist. Check out for more info.
