Bio
I am a professional basketry and chairseat weaver. I have been doing what I love since 1980 and it has become a part-time business that I run from my home-studio. Instructor of adult education classes and workshops at local schools and education centers, I also give demonstrations at craft shows and festivals and have worked with 4-H Clubs, Boy & Girl Scouts,and Before & After School Programs.

Description
Wicker furniture is really just a really big basket! Old Wicker is made better than most of today's wicker. Much of the stuff from the 70's probably didn't survive...Many of the same techniques are used to restore wicker as are used in basketry, yet every piece is unique. Depending on the extent of damage most wicker can be repaired without it being too cost prohibitive.
