I enjoy working with people and helping them solve problems. When I bean my career in the mortgage industry, I hesitated because I was told it was a sales position and I didn't consider myself a salesman.

As I went along, I discovered that I really am a salesman, just not the kind that I didn't like to deal with. My way of selling is to inform my clients as much as possible and help them reach solutions. I always let them make the final decision and never pressure them.

A good salesman must have the client's best interests in mind. When this means telling the client not to do a loan, that is what has to be done.
