1980-1987 The Queen of England’s thoroughbred racehorse trainer. Responsibilities included grooming and related duties; within 3 months was recognized for exceptional ability to work with horses, and riding skills; became apprentice Jockey to Major W. R. Hern; graduated from Johnny Gilbert’s Jockey School – a special training camp for jockeys; received an apprentice jockey license.
1987-1989 Took up an apprenticeship in Plastering and became fully certified as a professional plasterer. Worked as a professional plasterer in London primarily on residential and small commercial projects.
1989 – 1990 Traveled around Europe as a conditional jockey (pre-professional).
1991 – 1998 Emigrated to the United States; trained and jockeyed steeplechase horses in Pennsylvania and Virginia areas.
1998 – 2006 Opened a professional restoration and new construction company; as a general contractor I specialize in historically significant and challenging restorations that require world-class plastering craftsmanship, artistry and the highest possible quality. Have restored a room at Monticello; restored two full levels at Montebello Estates; and restored several rooms at Montpelier. Trusted by clients for high integrity, reliability, and clean, orderly, timely, on-budget performance and professionalism.
