Betsy Grant

I have 30 years of teaching experience, and 40 years of performance experience. I have taught at several universities, as well as privately. My credentials include the Music Faculty Award for Distinguished Musicianship presented by the Dept. of Music at Texas A & M University, where I received my Masters in Piano Performance. I traveled to England on scholarship to participate in the 1976 International String & Art Workshop, and also had the honor of playing for Aaron Copland around the same time. I also traveled to Indonesia a few years before that to do a television special. I have been the first place winner in numerous piano competitions, often soloing with orchestras such as the San Bernadino Symphony Orchestra, and the Brentwood Symphony Orchestra. I have also given extensive solo recitals, many which feature my own piano compositions. I still spend time composing, while enjoying teaching all ages and levels from age 4 to adults.

Category: Music
I teach all ages and all levels. I travel to your home so you must have a piano.

I teach according to what the individual is looking for (be it for themselves or their children). Some just want the basics, some want to work on special areas such as sightreading or technique, etc., others want a more in-depth study of music and artistry, others want to include popular or jazz music in their study - each to his own.

I teach Sunday through Thursday, and charge $45 per ½ hr, $67.50 per 45 min, and $90 per hr. Payments are made monthly at the first lesson of the month. I require a 30 day notice if a student decides to quit or go on vacation. Further business details will be provided when you sign up.
