Description
About 13 years ago when Kareem Ali and his wife Cheryl had no idea what to give Cheryl's Mom for Mother's Day. Kareem came up the idea of putting several photos of Cheryl and her family on VHS tape with music. When they gave the tape to Cheryl's mom they really didn't get a reaction out of her. But at the beginning of this year she put it in her VCR and played it for us and several of our family members. And she was so happy to see the tape again.

Of course Cheryl's mom had about 12 photo albums and Kareem noticed that thru the years traveling to friends and family's home that they would always pull their photo albums. And most of the time some of the pictures would be all over the house and they couldn't find them when they needed them. He notice that our lives are so busy that it's hard to keep all photos organized.
Kareem also thought it would be wonderful to put all the photos in order by events in peoples lives. It would be great to bring all those memories back to life. He reflected that everyone would be happy if they had their photos in order by events.

Since Kareem had a great interest in Art since he was 7 years old. When he was in Jr. High School his teacher suggested that he audition for Duke Ellington School of the Arts. While attending Duke Ellington two of his favorite classes were photography and film making.
After graduating from Duke Ellington he attended the University of The District of Columbia for 3 years. He studied Advertising and Design. Due to lack of finances he was unable to finish. He had several Art shows one of which was at the Martin Luther King Library. And he also took art classes from time to time. Years would go by and Kareem would always come back to what he loved. Even though he has other skills Art was his true passion and love. After meeting his wife
he started painting again and was able to complete 20 paintings. And he was fortunate enough to attend the Torpedo Factory Art Center in Alexandria, Virginia.
