Allan Arnaboldi

I am a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach, and have been trained in the Co-Active Coaching process through the Coaches Training Institute. I formerly was the Director of Support Programs for the Men's Resource Center for Change in Amherst, MA, where I had oversight of men's support groups, resource and referral, and youth and parenting programs. For more than 20 years I was a preschool and elementary school teacher. I have particular interest in working with gay/ lesbian/bisexual/ transgendered people and their families and also with divorcing parents who are wanting to cooperatively co-parent after divorce. I also have experience coaching individuals who are making significant life changes later in life. I offer individual and group coaching and do related workshops.

I am gay, was married and divorced, have a married daughter and grandchildren, and am now married to my gay partner, who is also divorced with children and grandchildren. My daughter and I are in a photo-essay exhibit and book entitled LOVE MAKES A FAMILY. My partner and I have good relationships with our children, our extended families, and our ex-spouses.

personal life coaching

Category: Services
I work with gay/lesbian/bisexual/transgendered people and those questioning their sexual orientation to help them explore their personal values, identify how their lives are out of sync or out of balance, and experience their own visions of more fulfilling lives. Then each individual can create their own definition of what it means to be an authentic person who happens to be gay/lesbian/bisexual/transgendered.

I also work with family members of gay/lesbian/bisexual/transgendered individuals who are coming out to help them move forward in the integration of their loved one’s new identity, so that they can maintain, restore, and/or grow their relationship in constructive ways.

I work with divorcing parents to shift the focus to cooperative co-parenting after divorce. I help them to clarify their own values and how to put them into practice in their relationships with their children, to recognize the importance of having both parents actively and constructively engaged in parenting, and to establish guidelines for negotiating co-parenting challenges in order to reduce the potential conflict to their kids as they move forward in their re-structured family.

I work with individuals who are making significant transitions in a later stage of life and who are seeking greater fulfillment. We explore values, areas in which you want greater fulfillment, life purpose and future vision of your more balanced, fulfilling life. You learn skills and strategies for taking small manageable steps towards achieving your dreams.
