I have been an artist ever since I can remember. As a child I drew cartoons and painted and everyone always said I would grow up to be a famous artist. When I was eight years old I won a silver dollar for a painting of a bird I did in school, which in those days was a big deal (I thought). My earliest influences came not from visits to art galleries or museums or even trips abroad, but rather were Jon Nagy, the first TV artist and the ever-popular paint-by-numbers paintings my parents did to hang in our home. Imagine.
