Bio
I am a native Long Islander. I've always been interested in "crafting" but never thought I had any decorative painting talent as I couldn't even draw a stick figure! I took my first "one stroke" painting class only to accompany my 10 yr. old niece who didn't want to attend the class alone. What a surprise!!! I could do this. I could paint leaves and rose buds. It was so easy and I was hooked. That was is 2001. In 2002 I knew I wanted to learn more. I attended a week-long convention in Florida where I met the creator of this "one stroke" method... Donna Dewberry. We spent that week painting with Donna for many many hours and I have continued to teach, learn and attend the annual conventions ever since. I love teaching this because many many students find they DO have a hidden artistic talent that, until they tried this, never knew they had.

I love giving (and receiving) hand made gifts so I love to "create". Whether it be painting, sewing, stitching or anything else created from the heart.
Work Experience:
I work full time in School, but my lifelong dream has always been to own my own art studio. I am working hard to pursue those dreams. I hope to retire early and enjoy my golden years doing what I do best.... crafting!

ONE STROKE PAINTING WAS CREATED BY DONNA DEWBERRY. SHE HAS APPEARED ON QVC, HSN AND PBS TELEVISION FOR MANY YEARS AND HAS DEMONSTRATED HER EASY METHOD OF DECORATIVE PAINTING. I AM A "CERTIFIED INSTRUCTOR" OF DONNA DEWBERRY. I HAVE SPENT MANY YEARS AND MANY HOURS PAINTING AND LEARNING DIRECTLY FROM DONNA SO THAT I CAN PASS IT ON FIRST HAND TO MY STUDENTS. I HAVE TAUGHT MANY STUDENTS OVER THE YEARS AND HAVE NEVER HAD ANYBODY (WHO STUCK WITH IT) WHO COULDN'T LEARN TO PAINT LEAVES AND FLOWERS. MORE ADVANCED CLASSES ARE OFFERED TO LEARN LANDSCAPES, PALM TREES, BIRDS, ETC., ETC.,
THIS IS A SIMPLE METHOD OF DOUBLE LOADING A PAINT BRUSH (USING ACRYLIC PAINTS) SO THAT YOU GET AN EFFECT OF BLENDING, SHADING AND HIGHLIGHTING IN "ONE STROKE"
