If one word can be used to describe Frank and
his art, it would be 'versatile'.
His work has varied from realistic, to
humorous, from detailed water-colors of the
adobes and pottery of the Southwest, to humorous
illustrations, caricatures and cartooning.
A professional illustrator for more than twenty
years he is never more comfortable than with a
pencil, pen or brush in his hand.
As testimony to his versatility and technical skills
his illustrations have been used in medical journals,
his designs were chosen for the graduation rings of
the U.S. Air Force Academy, and his light-hearted
caricature maps have been reproduced by the
hundreds of thousands for communities from Taos,
New Mexico to British Columbia.
Born and raised in Colorado he has always held
a deep appreciation for the outdoors and all forms
of wildlife as well as for the variety of domesticated
animals that share our homes and have become an
integral part of our families.
His passion in recent years has been to try to
capture the magic, majesty and spirit of wild animals
and the expression, personality and character of the
pets we love.
