For years i worked as a personal secretary to the president of a corporation. After that I ran the office for a body shop. I have also worked in the accounting department of an insurance company and when I married my second husband I ran his construction office. He framed houses and all of the guys who worked for him were sub-contractors. I handled the payroll for them, plus made up all of the 1099's at the end of the year. For several years I did the taxes for his business, but after a few years we turned that over to his sister who was a CPA.
I have a high school education so all of my work was on the job training. I started at the bottom and worked my way up
Organizations / Affilations:
In the early 70's I was affiliated with Crescent House, a home for Battered Women in New Orleans, La. I worked with the children there and loved it. Now I run several online support groups for Adhesive Arachnoiditis, a spinal disease that not many people know about. However, they should because any woman having an epidural for childbirth is in danger of contracting it, although you won't find a Dr who will admit it. It is a disease mostly caused by the medical profession, which is another reason that they not only don't talk about it but do not even teach it in medical schools.
