Bio
Randy Mate, General Contractor and owner of New Castle Remodeling I’ve been in the construction trade since I was 19 years old. When I started out working in 1977 I was
doing miscellaneous jobs, then into various construction trades up till 1990 when I decided to became "Randy the Handyman" and then became a Licensed Contractor in 1995, working out of Glendale, California.
Putting together your remodeling estimates myself, I can then get a full understanding of exactly what you need and want for your custom home improvement project.
Hiring on competent, knowledgeable foremen and workers who can get your remodeling project done right and do a top notch job overall is one of my main concerns. Once I’ve started working on your job, I am always available through my cell phone to talk to you about your remodeling project and answer your questions. If problems come up, I work to solve them and if you’re not satisfied, I’ll return to fix the job to your satisfaction. Some of the many jobs we’ve done lately are…

Glendale: Built a new, 400 square foot guesthouse that included a new bathroom, etc.

Pasadena: We installed a two-section redwood deck on the back of a house. The deck has a built-in redwood bench running all the way around it and a vinyl lattice top.

West Hollywood: In this 1920’s home, we tore out the existing kitchen and installed an all new kitchen and bathroom. We installed all new electrical and plumbing systems and painted the entire house.

Westchester: We installed new vinyl replacement windows in a sun room. We redesigned the laundry room and made it more accessible. We opened up an existing kitchen wall to make more
room. And did a complete bathroom remodel.

Tujunga: We built a wedge-shaped room addition with master suite and bathroom to join the house with the garage.
