I currently own and operate the Jhoon Rhee Black Belt Academy on 8950 Route 108, Suite 105 in Columbia, MD.
I am excited about a a new program I am offering to help challenged children such as those with ADD & ADHD.
Below are the highlights of my past career experiencies.
2006-2007 Program Director, Jhoon Rhee Institute of Tae Kwon Do of Columbia MD. I was responsible for recruiting and enrolling students. Other duties included, teaching as needed and retail sales of martial arts safety equipment and uniforms.
2002-2005 Assistant Professor, Department of Medicine University of Maryland Baltimore. I worked on various research projects to help define the genetic underpinnings of diabetes, obesity & longevity and aging.
1995-2002 Post graduate training.
1994-1995Research Assistant, for William Banister, Ph.D., Department of Chemistry, University of Massachusetts Lowell. Helped organize data for Dr. Banister’s project on transparent explosives for the U.S. Air Force.
1991-1993Competency Retraining in Biotechnology: Helped design and teach a course to local high school math & science teachers to introduce biochemistry into their curriculum for the purposes of introducing it to their students to promote biochemistry technology in the area.
