I'm so excited to be working with you. Deciding to take this time for yourself is the first and most important step you can take on your journey and I'm honored that you've chosen me to help you make the changes you wish to make in your life.
Because I know your time is valuable, I want to prepare us both and get the most out of our session. Here are some things you can do that will help us both to get right to the healing, growth, and happiness that await you.
• Begin thinking of what you'd like to improve. Take a deep breath and write down any words that come to you. It could be as general as: happiness, patience, disappointment, trust. Don't be afraid to write down whatever comes to mind. The list can be as long or as short as you feel it needs to be - there are no wrong answers and you may be surprised at what comes up. Please reply to my email address with your responses at least one week in advance of our appointment. It will help me focus on just what needs healing and help you get faster results.
• Meditate, chant, and contemplate. If you do any of these things regularly, kick it up a notch. If you don't, well then, try it. It could be as simple as taking a hot bath, listening to a guided meditation, or even chanting while on the subway (I'm happy to recommend some books, audio, etc. that will fit into your lifestyle). This exercise will help prepare you to dedicate your full focus to our session and that will help you get the most out of our time. Think of this as “training" to get into a better mental shape... after all, we do have some mental hurdles to jump.
• Move, dance, breathe, and sing! There's nothing like the release that physical activity can bring. Sing in the car. Dance with the lights out. Go to the park and head for the swings. Run, walk, or even chase a child around the living room. Remember to breathe - like they say, you need to put on your own oxygen mask before assisting others. Get your
