When I was a child, I remember my friends asking for dolls, dresses, and jewelry for birthdays and holidays. I, however, asked for books. Books, books, books, all shapes and sizes! With their beautifully colored covers and titles on numerous topics, I piled my books lovingly around my room to keep them all at arm’s length.

Even at a young age, I found myself eagerly escaping into fantasy worlds and mysterious tales through book pages by using a flashlight under the covers at two o’clock in the morning to read each printed word, turning each well-worn page with care...

I have been known to stress over misused punctuation in publications and am admittedly obsessive about grammar. I have a “love-hate” relationship with commas. Typos in restaurant menus have kept me up at night, and friends regularly laugh at me when I point out incorrectly used apostrophes in road signs.

In a nutshell, I am a bookworm, word nerd, and bibliophile--an editor, through and through!
