Joshua Armstrong

What's up kids and kittens! I am a Nashville resident looking to do some networking. I don't really know Kung Fu and I have no magical powers, so don't even ask! I do have a twisted since of humor and my goal in life is to somehow manipulate every single person I see.

More About Me
I absolutely LOVE to read and write, but my main skill is art/drawing. My passion lies more with creative writing (poetry and prose) and I have been influenced by many writers such as Kerouac, H. S. Thompson, H. D. Thoreou, etc. As far as drawing, I am especially good at comic and fantasy style art.
Work Experience:
I have taken several classes for art and journalism/writing at MTSU and David Lipscomb University (my major was journalism, but I switched my minor from art to marketing in order to optimize my career options).

My Skills

Drawing/Graphic Design

Category: Art / Creative
I have been drawing comic-style art since kindergarten. My homework was riddled with pictures of Sonic the Hedgehog. I can teach everything from two and three point perspective to constructive anatomy and exaggeration of facial expression (such as used in cartoons).
Relevant Education / Credentials
I have taken many classes in high school and college for graphic design and art theory, as well as perfecting the craft on my own since I was five years old. My mother was an art teacher and my father was an artist as well, and they have passed many of their tips on to me.
Years Experience: 20

Creative Writing/Journalism

Category: Writing / Journalism
I have written many short stories and have posts on many websites (Helium, Myspace, as well as personal pages I have begun to develop). My specialty lies in character development. There is an anecdote that I like that could be applied to any form of story telling - a good story is one in which, given the characters and the situations they are in, the story can only end one way, because if the characters are well thought out you already know how they would react to any situation.
Relevant Education / Credentials
I have taken many college courses in writing, english, and journalism (and supplemented with marketing). I have read hundreds of novels and have self taught myself to mimick almost any 'voice' to write with.
