Tiffany graduated from the University of Georgia in 2001 with a degree in Animal Science. Knowing she wanted to work in animal health/welfare from an early age, Tiffany spent her teenage and early adulthood years working in many animal related fields. Her most recent before pet grooming was with Merial, where she began as a animal tech and then moved into the lab where she did immunology assay development and other biological lab work.
In 2007 she realized that what her heart really wanted was to work with pets and their owners, so she took all of her previous experience with recordkeeping, management, animal handling, science, and love for animals and enrolled in the Atlanta Academy of Pet Design to learn the art of dog grooming. The idea of doing mobile grooming came about when she realized that if she did salon work she wouldn't typically get to talk to the owners. Oftentimes, this is done by a receptionist. The excitement and encouragement of a fellow student (Robyn! She has a mobile service for the Huntsville, Alabama area now) further solidified the idea in Tiffany's mind that an independent, face-to-face operation is what she wanted. Thank you Robyn and Erin!
Tiffany shares her home with her fiance Michael, a coonhound named Banjo, a rottie mix named Nellie, three pet hens (Violet, Rose, and Bluegirl), and a snake she has had since 10th grade named Moby. When she's not grooming you can usually find her running with one of her dogs, riding her horse Nick, knitting, gardening, or reading. She loves sushi, broccoli, dark chocolate, and ice cream and wonders how the world would ever survive without them. One day she hopes to be a bee keeper in her spare time b/c she's obsessed with honey and finds hives 'absolutely fascinating.' Tiffany is terrified of hornets and wasps...go figure.
