Description
Traditional Stairs is a term used in the building industry that refers to a stair balustrade that is entirely fabricated at the job site using stair parts. Stair parts consists of handrail, bender rail, newels, balusters, tread ends, wall cap, kick boards, rail fittings and attachments. The installation of traditional stairs requires highly skilled carpenters. Traditional stairs systems are installed as either “Over the Post” or “Post to Post” which refers to the location of the handrail at the newel-post. Balusters are installed either as wrought iron or hard wood turned balusters.
