Dr. Westrope possesses three doctorate degrees in psychology and religion. This extensive training provides the knowledge and experience to work in an environment where we can treat mind, body and spirit.

Dr. Westrope's studies include children counseling strategies, consultation skills, family therapy, the counseling process, professional psychology issues, psychotherapy theories, counseling the young child and counseling adolescents. Dr. Westrope achieved the Award of Excellence from Rochville University for her work on the Counseling Psychology Project in 1982. She also achieved the Certificate of Distinction for outstanding performance in Children Counseling Strategies. Dr. Westrope was always very involved in the student activity and academic environment and achieved a Certificate of Membership in the Students' Council at Rochville University. Dr. Westrope is also an undergraduate alumnus of Johns Hopkins University, the University of Maryland and Penn State University.

Dr. Westrope has worked several years with women's shelters and also as a managed mental healthcare case worker. She has more than 30 years experience in clinical psychology. She has extensive knowledge of principles, methods, and procedures for diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of physical and mental dysfunctions. She is trained to distinguish all aspects of human behavior and performance; individual differences in ability, personality, and interests; learning and motivation; psychological research methods; and the assessment and treatment of behavioral and affective disorders. Dr. Westrope is capable of giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made. She possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Dr. Westrope approaches therapy with a holistic perspective. She also facilitates bereavement groups and is available to do presentations.
