Overseeing the editorial aspects of a small communications company, I focused on helping non-profit companies and individual businesses with all manner of writing projects. From writing and editing website content to brochure copy to fundraising letters, my focus was on getting key information across in a compelling manner. Also served as the official Travel Expert for eHow, a popular ‘how-to’ website, and have been a regular contributor to the travel trade magazine Smart Meetings.

Supervised editorial output onto S&P's internal electronic publishing system, which transmits financial analyses onto the Internet and to various wire services. Managed the editorial production of a staff of bond analysts, primarily in the municipal bond sector. Ensured the timely, error-free dispersal of numerous multi-million dollar bond rating analyses on a daily basis, using a complex in-house software system known as linX.

Wrote and edited feature and breaking news articles on the business of bookselling; these pieces were featured in the association’s trade newsletter, Bookselling This Week, and also showcased on the ABA’s website, www.bookweb.org. A key accomplishment was the creation of the ABA’s weekly email gazette, ABA Flash, and I also played a key part in launching the nationwide Book Sense marketing program for independent bookstores.
