I have been a consultant to financial services companies most of my career. I have also been SVP Operations of an insurance and process outsourcing (BPO) company.

I am seeking a leadership position in operations or possibly a COO position with emphasis on the operational excellence of an organization.

I live in the Portland OR area but would consider relocation for the right opportunity.

My most unusual hobby is finding people. Mostly I help adoptees and birth partnts find eachother or help people find other lost relatives. This is very rewarding and has also been helpful when dealing professionally with the identity parts of fraud and money laundering isssues at bank clients.

Worked directly with clients and through intermediary firms. Served both U.S. and international banks and software companies addressing the banking market. Client engagements required high skill levels.


Associate Partner • IBM Business Consulting Services / PwCC • 2001 to 2005
Worked with major bank clients on projects in bank operations, payments, float analysis, AML, fraud, control systems, and risk analysis in payments and deposits operations. Created thought-leadership and training materials.


President / COO • Start-up (TheInsuranceAdvisor.com) • 2000 to 2001
Developed a business plan including financial plan, systems plan, competitive analysis, process design and staffing plan, and presentation to capital markets. Led initial stages of building the business capabilities. Developed partnering relationships with content and systems vendors.


SVP - Operations • American Security Group (Fortis subsidiary) • 1998 to 1999
Led outsourcing (BPO) and insurance services provided to major banks. Operations included 1,400 employees. The scope of responsibilities included mortgage escrow payment processing, collateral control, and all aspects of insurance operations. Initiated systems consolidation and advanced process automation projects to reduce costs and improve quality and timeliness of service.

Progressed through increasingly responsible roles focusing on banking, specifically projects related to operations reengineering and strategy for check processing, payments, and deposit operations. Member of three Global leadership teams: Payments, Bank Operations, and Process Design. Author of both thought-leadership and training materials on Deposit Operations, Payments, and Fraud Reduction.
