I have 10 years experience in all aspects of vacation travel planning, including research, presentation, promotion, sales, invoicing, & customer service. 1998 to Current: Travel Agent (Independent Contractor working through a host agency). I handle all aspects of customer service, including building the preferred travel itinerary for clients, closing the sale, & handling all client concerns & problem solving (before, during & after travel).
1993 to 1998: Owned, operated, & managed an independent, cook from scratch, 130 seat, table service restaurant. Employee training & management, customer satisfaction & relations in a fast paced environment sharpened my communication & people skills to a very high level. I am still approached by customers complimenting both the quality & service of my restaurant.
1980 to 1993: Vice President & Co-Founder of a small oil company that handled all aspects of prospect management in drilling, completing & managing producing oil wells in the Illinois Basin. Duties included prospect development, investor relations, private placement presentations, management of employees, etc. Production totaled over 3 million barrels of oil, from over 30 producing oil wells delivering to investors a 3 to 1 return on investment.
