Bio
Wesley Rice is a graduate of West Virginia University with a Master’s degree in Music Performance. While there he held the clarinet/aural theory assistantship, and performed in many ensembles. Among these are the West Virginia University Symphony Orchestra and the Fairmont Orchestra, where he was principal, and the Graduate Wind Quintet. Mr. Rice also holds a Bachelor’s degree from the Peabody Conservatory of Music. There he received numerous awards, including the Martha and William Bill Memorial Prize for woodwinds and runner-up in the York Symphony Orchestra Young Artists Competition. He held the principal clarinet position in many ensembles, including the Peabody Wind Ensemble, the Peabody Symphony Orchestra, and the Peabody Concert Orchestra. Mr. Rice has also been requested to perform in an opera by Baltimore resident Damon Ferrante, which premiered on Broadway. Currently Mr. Rice is teaching lessons in York, PA, and taking auditions for several orchestras and bands.

Description
Wesley has been repairing and maintaining woodwind instruments, mainly clarinets, for over eight years. He is the repairman for WVU instrument control, for many clarinetists at Peabody, WVU, Cincinnati College-Conservatory, and their surrounding areas. He has also repaired the instruments of Steven Barta, Bill Jenken, John Weigand, and Ed Palanker of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, and for Doris Hall-Gulati of the Philadelphia Chamber Orchestra.
