Midori Goetz

I have been in the daycare profession for over 15 years. For the last 7 years I have been a two/three-year-old teacher and an infant/toddler teacher. I love being able to interact with the children and see how they learn and change over the year they are in my care. I provide a great environment for children to learn that is safe and age appropriate. I have plenty of age appropriate toys and activities for all ages, newborn to toddlers to preschoolers. All activities will be supervised.

All of our activities are geared towards what children love to do, play. I believe that children learn best through play and exploration. There will be many opportunities for your child to learn through doing large and small motor activities: playing with blocks, legos, cars, puzzles, sorting, matching, etc. Art activities: easel painting, gluing, coloring, stamping, and water coloring. Music activities: dancing, listening, and making music. Science exploration: ice, water, air, growing plants, etc. Outside play: ride on vehicles, sand box, sidewalk chalk, balls, tents, tunnels, etc. Quiet time: looking at books, and listening to stories. Zoo-phonics and Baby Signs will also be taught depending on the child’s age.

I believe that positive reinforcement and redirecting is the best way to discipline a young child. Children need positive reinforcement in order to change an inappropriate behavior. I will give the plenty of attention, affection, and positive reinforcement.

I am located off Sunrise Ave. in the Anatolia housing development. My house is in walking distance to the clubhouse, Eagles Nest and Sandpiper Park. I have a nice fenced in backyard that is fully landscaped and appropriate for children. My home is a clean, smoke free environment that is contusive for children to feel at home, learn, and enjoy playing.
