Bio

I am a Healthcare system software and infrastructure designer and implementer working for the largest IDN in the Eastern US. See my LinkedIn profile at http://www.linkedin.com/in/walterhalvorsen I am also a professional-level cellist with many years of chamber music and orchestral performance experience. I am a graduate of the New England Conservatory of Music, where I studied with Paul Tobias, and studied at the New School of Music in Philadelphia, under the tutelage of Orlando Cole of the Curtis String Quartet. I have performed with the Trillium Flute Trio, the Philadelphia Chamber Soloists, the Les Mistral Oboe Quartet, and an 11-year stint with the Silverwood Trio. I am a former member of the Chatauqua Symphony Orchestra, the New England Conservatory Symphony Orchestra and a professional section coach for the Newton (MA) Symphony.
