Bio
I am an artist born and raised in San Antonio; my art work has been described as “Painting with Paper"

I went from teenage delinquent, high school drop out and pregnant teen to General Manager, Business Owner and Community service volunteer; all due to the Arts.

I endured the consequences of bad teenage decisions including being arrested and beaten by a couple of men. At the age of 28 I found myself as a single mother with two children (a newborn and a 10yr old), I had managed to escape two abusive relationships, I did not have a penny to my name and I had a GED education. The corporate world was not offering jobs to GED graduates so I made a change and enrolled in weekend college courses in order to get a business degree and/or a marketing degree. In my art appreciation class I was assigned a project that required me to cut different colored card stock into very small pieces. I was to construct a mosaic replica of a picture of my choice. I chose to recreate a photo of my son. Upon completion of the project I submitted it to my instructor. When she looked at it her mouth fell to the floor and she began to cry. At that moment my hidden talent was revealed.
