I am a classically trained cellist with 16 years of experience. I have played in the distinguished Sacramento Youth Symphony for 8 years becoming Principal in the top-tier Premier Orchestra in 2003. I've toured with the orchestra in various international tours including Brazil, Germany, Italy, and Austria and Switzerland where we won 1st place in the prestigious International Youth and Music Festival in Vienna. I have a wealth of chamber music experience doing summer workshops over 8 seasons at Sequoia Chamber Music Workshop, Humboldt State University; Sacramento Chamber Music Workshop, William Barbini, Music Director – graduate of Juilliard and soloist with the NY Philharmonic; and California Summer Music Workshop with Irene Sharp, director. I have also played in numerous musicals and regional orchestras including 6 seasons with the Folsom Lake Symphony and 6 seasons with the Sacramento Valley Choral Society. I played with a variety of 2-4 member chamber groups for numerous weddings and other events, including harp, violin, viola, etc. My teachers include Wayne Buck who studied with Dudley Powers, principal cellist of the Chicago Symphony; Andy Luchansky, New England Conservatory of Music; Leighton Fong, Berkley; and Susan Lamb Cook, noted soloist in Northern CA. In addition to my classical background, I was also a core member of the "Broken Iris" rock band for four years as the cellist. I've recorded with them live and on CD as well, and auditioned with the band in LA
to try to get signed but didnt go as well as we thought. In a new band now called "Green Audio". Also, I have recorded in sessions as an on-call cellist with other rock
bands as well around Sacramento. If you need a cellist for any type of recording or in the studio, im your man.
