I've been a calligrapher for over 30 years and my specialty is creating unique, one-of-a-kind gifts for the "people who have everything." I can hand letter your envelopes (see sample)@ $1 ea. for a 3-line address; hand letter favorite song lyrics, poems, sayings, names, etc. on paper, matboard, canvas, a box, etc. (I once hand lettered a poem on an ostrich egg!). I put myself through school and earned an A.A.S. in Graphic Design-Print, so my passion has spread to creating unique, multi-media art; a combination of hand drawn, painted, collaged art, and photos, scanned and then placed in an electronic document to create personalized note cards and stationery, hand made books, etc.
Living in San Antonio, TX the past 20 years has been interesting. Having moved here from the NE (CT), I have to say I love the slow pace here and the sunshine! I'm a cold-blooded, creative, Pisces woman! I've travelled a little, my favorite trip being Ireland in 1999 - can't wait to go back.
My goal is to become a full-time artist; creating fine art - I draw, paint, collage, decoupage, create small sculptures of mostly re-cycled materials and create jewelry, and of course, my biggest passion, calligraphy. I'm also creating new digital art and hope to build a website for myself in early 2009.
