I've been playing and teaching Bass Guitar for many years, I have recorded and toured with many groups from a very young age. I graduated with 2 degree's form Musician's Institute in Hollywood CA. Many of my students go on to do great things with the skills they have learned from me. I don't believe in the one size fits all, everyone has different tastes and skill levels. I teach a core of 5 aspects of playing

• Physical Technique:Right Hand Left Hand Coordination, Slap and Pop, left hand damp, palm mute, various postures, Double Thumbing, Double Slapping, Double and Triple Pops, Hammer-Ons and Pull-offs, Trills, Artificial and Natural Harmonics, Banjo style Plucking, Tapping, Sweeping, Double Stops, and Exercises to build Strength, Speed, Stamina, and Control without hurting your hands.

• Mental Aspects: Harmony, Theory, Ear Training, Scales, Modes, Building Chords, Using Altered Tunings, Improv bass lines and Modal Soloing, Fretboard memorization, Four Part Writing, Odd Time, Secondary Dominants (functioning and non), Tritone Substitution, Intervals, counterpoint, four part writing, root movement, non harmonic tones, appoggiaturas, escape tones, pedal tones, suspensions, retardations, anticipations, modal interchange, diatonic modulation, rhythmic modulation, and tips to keep you composure under pressure.

• Musical Styles, Classical, Jazz, Punk, Death Metal, Hard Rock, Blues, Latin Styles, Drum and Bass, Electronica, Jamming, Walking Bass, Funk, Disco, Reggae, Dub, Country and Western, Hard Core Jungle Break Beats, Song Writing, Arranging, and Composing. Learn bass lines from such players as: Jaco Pastorius, Marcus Miller, Victor Wooten, Flea, Les Claypool, Geddy Lee, James Jamerson, Tom Jenkinson-(aka squarepusher) and Many More.
