I was born in 1967 in Long Branch, New Jersey, USA. Currently, I teach in the South Jersey area and co-own a small store in Greenwich Village, New York City: The Lost World, at 215 Thompson Street. I occasionally get to do art or furniture-assembly or writing/editing.

Work Experience:
Many, many jobs. Currently I teach in several South Jersey school districts. For a time I worked full-time as an RTA furniture assembler, and I now have a part-time job in that field as well as freelance in South Jersey and Philadelphia. I've also been a janitor, assistant theater director, self-employed Art teacher, movie theater employee, photograph retoucher, and church organ repairman's apprentice. I take art and writing jobs whenever I can.
Education:
Jan-May 1996 Brookdale Community College, Lincroft, NJ.
Graphic Design and Computer-Enhanced Photography using Adobe Photoshop 2.5 and 3, Adobe Illustrator 5.0 and Quark Express on the Macintosh. Received credit/high honors in both classes.

Sep 86 - May 91 Glassboro State College, Glassboro, NJ. BA degree.
Including credits in visual arts, education, writing, music composition, theater and cinema. Made the Dean’s List five times.

On 12/11/98 scored a 68 (equivalent to an “A;” a 46 is a “C”) on the DANTES Technical Writing exam.

On 1/23/99 scored a 678 on the PRAXIS General Knowledge test, qualifying me for certification as a teacher at the elementary school level; on 4/21/01 scored a 197 on the PRAXIS Eng Lang Lit Comp Content Knowledge test.

Due to extreme poverty, my memberships have lapsed. However, I was a member of the Garden State Horror Writers (and served as secretary of same), the Graphic Artists Guild (GAG), and several smaller organizations.

I'm a writer, mostly of science-fiction. I also do a great deal of research and am very good at explaining things clearly. I also edit and proofread my own and others' writing. I can type 40 wpm. I'm also well-versed in the printing industry and prepare page layouts in Quark XPress.

BA degree. Assisted foreign students in preparing term papers. Most recently I corrected the English of my pen-pal Ewa Barycka in her Ph.D. theses, which she'd originally written in Polish and needed to translate for publication.
