Bio
I was born in Black Mountain North Carolina near Asheville; I attended George Washington Carver Elementary School. After grade school he moved to Asheville N.C. and attended Stephens Lee High School. After graduating High School. I attended Morris Brown College in Atlanta GA, where he majored in Art and minored in Religion. I entered the U.S. Air Force and served four years as a technical illustrator and obtained the rank of Sergeant, while stationed at Luke Air Force Base Ariz. In 1971 received Kyoshi (teacher, or certification as a black belt intructor in Uechi-Ryu Karate from Master Kanei Uechi, son of the founder Kanbun Uechi from Okinawan, Japan. After Air Force, I have worked for the NCCJ, YWCA and worked conjunction with law enforcement agencies, Phoenix Job Corps Center, Phoenix Mental Health Center, Phoenix Parks & Recreation, Boys & Girls Clubs and the YMCA's in the greater Phoenix area, as an instructor of Karate and Self Defense.
I also maintain a private photography business, Photographs by Saddler.
I retired in 2001 from Intel corporation in Chandler, Arizona as Photographer/Graphics specialist.

Description
Uechi-Ryu pronounced (way-chee roo) originally named pan-gai-noon, is a system derived from Sholin Buddhist Temples of Southern China.It emphasizes a combination of movements of the Tiger, Crane, and Dragon. As a specialized method of self-defense Uechi-Ryu concentrates on the use of the single-knuckle punch,spear-hand strike, pointed kick, and circular block. Karate is a mental and physical art founded on scientific principles of body movement for health, character development, and self-defense.Originally taught In Chinese Buddhist Temples
Martial Arts,stresses the oriental philosophy of harmony and oneness. With the conditioned parts of their body,advanced students can demonstrate almost unbelievable feats of humane accomplishment such as smashing through stacks of boards and bricks with the conditioned parts of their body.This is only a small part of the true art. Unfortunately, many people associate Martial Arts only with its more spectacular aspects and do not understand what true art of Martial Arts.

I study various styles of martial arts Karate, Aikido, Judo, Kobudo and Tai Chi. In karate he studied various styles: Moo Duk Kwan (Korean), Shorin-Ryu (Okinawan), Shoto Kan (Japanese), and Uechi-Ryu (Chinese /Okinawan). In 1968 at Luke Air Force Base in Arizona, Mr. Saddler began studying Uechi Ryu under George Krob, a renshi 6th Degree Black Belt in Uechi-Ryu Karate one of the first Americans to teach in Taiwan, China. In 1971 Mr. Saddler received Kyoshi (teacher, or certification as a black belt intructor in Uechi-Ryu Karate from Master Kanei Uechi, son of the founder Kanbun Uechi fromOkinawan, Japan.
