In a traditional office, they are known as Administrative Assistants, but in the online community, they are known as Virtual Assistants. VAs work from their own offices, use their own equipment, and provide services to businesses, entrepreneurs, executives, or busy people. Assignments are usually communicated through e-mail, phone, fax, or mail. Whatever the project, information is easily transferred between client and Virtual Assistant.

Transcribing Services

Large Transcription Orders
In general the turnaround times quoted are good for transcription orders of up to 5 to 7 hours of audio. If you have an extremely large order, add one additional day for each 5 additional hours of audio.

Turnaround times are counted from after the day we receive them. Thus if a transcription has a 2 day turnaround and I received your tapes on Monday, you should not expect your transcripts until late Wednesday afternoon or early Thursday morning.

Dictation Transcription and Voice File Transcription

I transcribe dictation from a wide variety of formats including MicroCassette, DSS, AVI, and WMA.

Pricing applies to all Dictation where any of the following occur:
*Not professionally recorded.
*Using the DSS format. (audio is highly compressed)
*Any other high compression format (DVF, etc.)
*Recorded on Micro-cassette.
*Excessive room or office noise.
*Heavy Accent.
*Speakers using English as a second language.
*Poor sound quality (tape or environment).
*Material is of a highly technical nature.

$2.00 Per Minute of audio. Turnaround Time 2 days.

Lecture Transcription and Speech Transcription Services

I consider audio to be a lecture or speech if one or more people address an audience sequentially. (For example: One person speaks or introduces somebody, the speaker addresses the audience or class, the moderator concludes the session.)

If there are multiple speakers such as a round-table or panel discussion, please see Seminars or Panel Discussions instead.

Pricing applies to all Lectures or Speeches where any of the following occur:
*Not professionally recorded.
*There is a Q&A session. (Lecture followed by Questions)
*Socratic Method (Lecturer and Audience interact throughout)
*Recorded on Micro-cassette.
*Excessive room or audience noise.
*Accents (British, foreign, heavy regional, or otherwise).
*Speakers using English as a second language.
